It’s all about Passion
I don’t know how many of you have heard Mr Robin Sharma speaking on Leadership or on Success…. Robin Sharma is a Canadian author known for 12 books, including “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari”, “The Greatness Guide” and “The Leader Who Had No Title”.
I had the privilege of hearing him from one of his videos, wherein he shared an incredible experience of his life that his first seminar was attended by only 23 people and 21 of those were from his own family.
Isn’t it unbelievable? To me – Yes.
But he never felt disheartened; all this was made possible because of his passion to reach up to the level where he is today. Passion gives you energy to live, it catches our attention, brings commitment and determination, but one thing can be sure – it causes us to act.
I don’t know if you have heard the name of Varsha Tomar, she is nowhere near the level of fame achieved by Robin Sharma. A girl who grew up in a small-town (UP) India, belongs to a humble middle class background where her father is a farmer and mother is a housewife. I had the honour of meeting this young lady who possesses a burning passion to represent India at the next Olympics. Through sheer grit and determination, she has battled all odds to commence her journey in becoming a world class shooter. I was amazed to see her energy and the commitment she brings in her desire to bring a gold medal for her country.
I’ve always believed that a great leader’s courage to fulfil his vision comes from his passion not position. My dream is to give to society more than I take from it. This can only be realised through the development of my company. To construct a legacy that earns respect, a culture that worships the development of human talent, is a goal behind which I put my every waking hour.
In the words of Robin Sharma, “The goal you don’t set reveals a dream you don’t do”. Live your life to the fullest because you would not be given a second chance.
