Go After Your Dreams!
I write this blog on request of my internal communication team as they asked me to write about ” #Go-after-your-dreams” So here it goes ….
In life, if we don’t go after our dreams and see others live theirs, then its a total waste of our time and insult to our hidden potential. Its so much better instead to realize our dreams in real life and enjoy our success. We all are a product of our thoughts and it is our thoughts that have brought us to where we are today. And so if you feel that you needed to be some where else, then the good news is, that you can get there!!!!!
How?
Simply by changing your #thought-process and taking control of the conversations you have in your mind. Try to avoid all the negative thoughts in your mind, such as ” Am I good enough?” Or, “I don’t think I can make any difference to my or anybody’s life”. These thoughts are the enemy of your dreams. I truly believe that God has made us all perfect without any defects and we are God’s product, then why to spot one????
Look at the recent election and the rise of Mr. #Modi! He said in his recent interview, “I am a son of the poor man” and today he is the #Prime-Minster-of-India ….. Amazing story of a man who dreamt to serve his country and today leads India to her glory. He went after his dreams…. To me this is an inspiring story, from a tea man to a Prime Minister of a country!
I would like to share a true story which was shared by my colleague (Sameer- sharing it, as I like it very much). A story about making a difference to yours and the life of others, and to make that difference a position or a rank in an organization does not matter.
The story goes like this… One day a CEO of a grocery store spoke to the entire organization, that you all must add significant value at your jobs and make your customers happy. Making your customers happy is making yourself happy and making your dreams come true. So on hearing this speech, one of the junior most employees got very inspired and decided to do something about it. Her job in the company was to put groceries in all bags of her customers. She thought how could she possibly add more value on such a simple task ?? She came up with an idea to stick a “#Thought-of-the-day” in each bag and make a special message each day for her customers. Her counter’s line got longer and longer with time and the manager of the store opened other counters, but no one in the store wanted to change the line because all of them wanted their thought of the day from her. The traffic to the grocery store increased and this junior most employee made all the difference in increasing more traffic to the store than anybody else had done till date.. Not even her senior managers.. Isn’t it #FANTASTIC?
Anything and everything is possible if you choose to make it happen. Watch your thoughts, every thought we think is creating our future..
So what are you waiting for…. #Just-go-and-get-your-dreams!
Dear Sir
R your Jr.employees free to speak.
Yes……please speak freely or write to me at nandanikhil@escorts.co.in
Yes, as an Escortian I feel free to voice my opinion. And it’s a delight to have a thought provoking conversation with Mr. Nanda at any given time.
This story tells us that every employee – irrespective of seniority – has the potential to add value to the organisation in his/her own unique way.
Thank you for sharing such an inspirational story. It will help people think innovative and enhance their potential.
