Just cos you travel on first class, does not make you first class

Our values and principles of what we believe in, is what shape our inner class. In today’s world there are different kinds of people. There are few who know who they are from within and are driven by their purpose in delivering a value, not just to themselves, but also to the world around them (such people are far and few in between).

And then there are others, who are driven by the image of what they build for the outside world. These people are not concerned about doing good but are driven by looking good. They are slaves to the world for their want of attention and endorsement.

Very important to identify such people in our life because they can suck you dry of  energy for their lack of self esteem and complexities.

Why am I writing about all this?

Because in life one of the most important lessons we all need to learn  is to make the right choices of  people  we surround ourselves with. Be it at work, in our social life or even in our family.  Peoples choices represent our choices of what we are from inside and these choices play a very significant role in where we end up in life….

So think twice before you decide that you want to hire that man or woman in the company or decide if you don’t want this man/ woman in the company or in your life? Remember people’s choices will decide not just the success of your company but also the success of your personal self along with your happiness……

Where to find good people ?

Lesson number one: Very few  people you will find in the  first class cabin!  What I really mean to communicate here is that, don’t go by the  appearance…. Don’t judge by what you see, but try and see what they have done and do… In today’s world there are too many smooth talkers, who say all the right things and seldom practice their talk….

I know it’s tough to find people who are true to their words and we all  learn from our decisions about such people. While some of them turn out great,  but then those who don’t , they find their way out of the company and your life. The idea is to learn from it and not to repeat it.

As someone once told me “#Nikhil, the five people you spend your most time with- You become  them!!!  So choose those five people that you want to surrounded by WISELY.”

Don’t let your fear govern the choices of your people, but let your principles make that choice for you…

#Happy-hunting …… God bless!

    Intriguing piece of blog..
Sir, the most important question is whereto find such people and how to find such people? If this question is answered, most of the problems of all organizations about right people and right talent would resolve.

to me it looks like that finding right people to solve the problems works, but not always
Rather organization needs to bring talent out of candidates who can address problems in future
See how it works in Western countries. There people do job more because of interest or passion instead of sake of doing job. Hence they are better in handling so called “problems” of the organization.
There is always a “Lead Time” before returns getting started. For e.g. just like weeds and mango seeds can not acclimatize in same manner in a forest. Mango tree needs care before it starts giving fruits while Weeds will adjust at once but will give no fruit. Choice is yours (means organization)
Here I can refer very good and older blog of Nikhil sir: Work for yourself first and then for the company
In that blog views were very encouraging. Like one line was there as: “Use Escorts as your means to fulfill your aspirations”
But I agree this blog was quite intriguing with focus on “right people” or rather “genuine people”
Even if we refer Dale Carnegie’s famous quotes: Successful people have one thing in common, they are surrounded by people with diversity!!
